Cosette-the daughter of Fantine.

Marius-a man who came from a rich family but hides his true identity and fought side by side with his friends in the revolution he is also the love interest of Cosette.

Eponine-a friend of Marius who is secretly in love with him.

Thenardier&Madame Thenardier-parents of Eponine who owns a small inn also the foster parents of Cosette before Jean Veljean adopted her

The Priest- who helped Jean Valjean to change his life and become a better person.

Setting:The story took place in France right after the French Revolution.

Plot: the story talks about the person who was encountered so many incident later than the revolutions.A person who stood up to so many incident just to give his family a better life.

 

Theme: Life offers so many hardship and justice and injustice us will us poverty that sometimes will lead to the loss of hope to every individuals. But with those hope and challenges will help you to reach your main goal in life.

Symbolism: 

Myriel’s Silver Candlesticks

M. Myriel’s candlesticks are the most prominent symbol of compassion in Les Misérables, and they shed a light that always brings love and hope.

When describing the novel’s main characters, Hugo uses animal imagery to accentuate these characters’ qualities of good and evil. The orphaned figures of Cosette and Gavroche are frequently referred to as creatures of flight: Cosette as a lark and Gavroche as a fly.

1.What does the title mean in relation to the film as a whole?

            Life is full of challenges, struggles, pain but on the end you will end up with hope and you reach your goal. “Les Miserables” this movie tells us that even how hard is the life we are able to do good and God really lift up us on the misery that we are facing.

2. Among the characters, to whom can you relate to?

I can relate myself to jean Vajean’s life because life always surprised us with so many challenges but we tend to hide it always as if that we can managed everything but on the other hand we are always doing something just to reach out our goal in life. Always to put up a hope to evething.

3. Which part of the presentation struck you the most? Why?

The death of one of the character which is Jean Vajean because he really fought for what he want and end up with everything.

4. What is the movie’s message?

Keep on believing on your faith, never give up to the challenges and struggles that you are facing with and us human person never ever lose hope.

5. Did I like this in general? Why?

Yes, because it really reflects to us on what really life brings us, it simply show on how you can handle it.

6. Did I agree with the main theme/purpose? Why or why not?

Yes, because even life has a struggle we always use to face it with confidence and never be affected with your past and never let your past makes you feel blind on what really is good to you and to the whole country.

7. What specifically did I like/dislike? Why?

As Valjean sits dying in a local convent, he perceives the spirit of Fantine appearing to take him to Heaven. Cosette and Marius rush in to bid farewell.

8. Are there any aspects of theme which are left ambiguous at the end? Why?

None, everything was stated clearly.

9. How does this film relate to the things that are happening in your life?

We cannot escape life which has all the struggles and pain I experienced downfall and somewhat others step on my dignity as a person but still I stand with hope and confidence and keep on believing that I can really handle things very well.

Setting: 

        Set in the summer of 1977 that draws on places and historical events in India. Pondicherry is a former French colony in India. It has an Indian Coffee House and Botanical Gardens. The Botanical Garden has a toy train track. The garden does not have a zoo. It had one in the 1970s, but did not have any animals bigger than deer. The Botanical Garden has a small aquarium. Munnar, the destination for the Patel family's vacation, is a small but popular hill station in kerala. Maduray, also referenced in the novel, is a popular tourist and pilgrimage site in Tamil Nadu.

Plot:
      It was started with Pi which he was tired of someones call her "Pissing Patel", and his family was owning a zoo and Pi has took interest with the animals that's why he also seen in his two eyes how was his father trying to feed the Bengal tiger with the goat. His family raised him as an Hindu and a vegetarian person.

     his family decided that they will go to other country which is Canada so his parents try to sell the zoo. And while they are living they never noticed that there is a bad weather when they where there trip Pi was in deck of the ship and he also try to find his family until such time that the crew push him in life boat together with the zebra and orangutan.

     Pi trying to find what to eat and make his own raft just to have a distance with the tiger. And pi also give the tiger a food to eat. Weeks later they dock in the floating island where they get food and to gain strength until such time that pi discover that the place where too hostile then pi and the tiger leave the place. The boat also dock to the place of Mexico and there where person see them they being rescued and carried to the hospital and there where Japanese freighter come to interview him and they don't even believe what Pi has said.

answer:
           The title's relation to the film is that life of Pi shows the real adventure of his life, challenges that occur, hopes that makes him strong and faith that makes him alive there where the things the he encounter just to survive.

answer:
         I can relate myself to Pi, Because I am the person which has a strong determination in life willing to take risk just to get/protect the life that God gave me.

 answer:
           The part that the movie struck me most is when the time that he keeps on remembering his family he can see the faces of his family at the deep ocean. He was so tired but when he see his family he gained more strength to it.

answer:
            The movies message is that don't lose hope everything happens is for a reason, continue to be good to others and challenges is the best partner of a success.

 answer:
           Yes, I like this movie because this movie somewhat represent to my own life, struggle for something that can makes me feel happy, surviving for the challenges in life and protecting the things that somewhat important to me and to my family.

           yes I agree with the purpose of this movie because it really shows how important is the life for us.

          I like the chapter of his life that he was hallucinated that he can  see the floating island and eat there and see the beauty of that particular island which also have meerkats  and a carnivore plants.they collect food for the time that they will travel and go to the next island.

           No, Because all the situation that what we have shown was all stated clear.

           I can relate this film to my own life because even i have all but still there always challenges arise that make me feel down but with it i faced it with strong determination and full hopes that i can really solve those problems in life.

LIFE'S A SURPRISE

Life's A Surprise

Explanation:

This poem somewhat represent about myself because I always wishing and praying for the betterment but you cannot achieve those goal in life if there is no challenges and struggle behind to it and with this i can connect it with my personal life because sometimes life is so amazing there are always problems and difficulties that occur if you are wishing for the betterment. But those problem and challenges that sometimes that makes you down will show us you as a person and let us always think and believe what God really set us because He gave it because He believe that we can handle it.And just go on with the life that we have and think always that experience is the best teacher.

Realization, Learning and Resolution

         What a great job that I have done in this year "2012", i know that every struggle and challenges in life will be solve and in this past year I face my problem with a strong and courageous determination. And as I realize that 2012 for me is really worth because I've done very well even I am in the midst of difficulties but I really hold on with the faith, hope and reaching my goal this past year. I know that every dream will be attained with the help of our self and others but strong determination is needed to attain such goal and anything that I've plant and planned in the year 2012 has a big part and contribution on what I am right now.

            I learned that every challenges and sacrifices has a good result in the end, be a good person and do the job very well just to reach the right path in life, patient is needed when facing to it. And this year my new years resolution is will change for the better, to be a good daughter to my parent do what they want for us because we all know we are the one who could benefit to it and lastly is to a responsible person as well.

              I was amazed for my experiences and memories in the year 2012 hope it will continue until on my last existence here on earth. And i am so glad and thankful to God for this another year "2013" for me and also to my family.
